$50 for Tricare, Medicare Families, and those that need a lower cost option for inclusive, judgement-free and comprehensive lactation care.

We are excited to offer help in a clinic setting on Wednesdays at our office in RISE Physical Therapy/RISE Prime Wellness in Carmel Valley. Book your appointment based on your current needs, and see an IBCLC for lactation support. These appointments are semi-private, meaning that there may be other families in the clinic space at the same time as you. You will receive personalized attention and one-on-one support.

Low Cost Clinic

60 MINUTES In-Office, Wednesdays, 12:30pm, $50

A consult for parents and their babies (partner/support person welcome and encouraged to be present) who are:

• having feeding difficulties and/or problems

• are concerned about baby’s weight gain

• concerned about the lactating parent’s milk supply

• have sore/damaged nipples

• having breast pain related to lactation (including engorgement, plugged ducts, mastitis, weaning, etc.)

• introducing a bottle

• bottle refusal

• returning to work

• pumping problems, including wondering about flange fit

We typically have time to cover 1-2 specific issues, depending on the complexity of the problem. It may include pre-/post-feeding weights to see how much baby transfers, suck assessment, position and latch assessment, pumping, return to work support, weaning, bottle feeding, etc., and will always include a personalized plan of care. We can bill some insurances for lactation clinic, please let us know your insurance carrier when booking.

Flange Fitting at the Low Cost Clinic

30 MINUTES In-Office, Wednesdays, 1:30pm, $40

A 30 minute semi-private consult to measure and find the best fit flange for you and your pump. This appointment is best for a lactating person to learn about flange fit and which flanges work best for each individual. If you have other feeding issues that you would like to work on, please book a longer appointment spot. Please bring your pump and parts with you to your appointment. This appointment includes flange fitting and flanges for you to take home with you, provided we have your size and style in stock.

Weight Checks

5 MINUTES In-Office, no charge

Schedule a time for a quick weight check to make sure your baby is gaining appropriately. Let us know you are coming so we can assure direct assess to the scale for you.
